CenterStage Theatre Company is delighted to announce our Advanced Teen Production - Hadestown: Teen Edition. This show is a full-length adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s Hadestown, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences. This folk opera offers a theatrical experience featuring two intertwining love stories – Orpheus and Eurydice, and King Hades and Persephone. Hadestown takes audiences on a journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell's sung-through musical explores themes such as industry versus nature, doubt versus faith, and fear versus love.
