Actors, please remember to bring any necessities to help you succeed on our outdoor film days. This includes a water bottle, sunscreen, blankets/layers (depending on the weather, forecast for this weekend is 84-87 degrees). Actors should arrive in masks for an immediate temperature/check-in with Cal. For those called in the morning, you will need to bring your own packed lunch. We have a very short amount of time for lunch and ask that actors stay on location for lunch. If you are called in the afternoon, please eat before filming. 

Finally, it is crucial that we stick to our schedule. For actors, that means you should be arriving in make-up or arrive early so that you are in make-up by your call-time. We also ask that actors who are actively filming or on-deck be ready to dive in. We will be sure to give you time for breaks, water etc. but much of our filming is limited by weather and natural light. Ideally, film days should run like a theatre tech-week: actors should anticipate what scenes they are in, know their lines, and be ready to repeat a scene several times. We will be sure to provide you with times and explicate as we film so that we can keep you informed and stick to schedule.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it’s is a simple, standardized content distribution method that can help you stay up-to-date with your favorite newscasts, blogs, websites, and social media channels. Instead of visiting sites to find new posts or subscribing to sites to receive notification of new posts, find the RSS feed on a website and read new posts in an RSS reader.  

An RSS feed consolidates information sources in one place and in our case is SKM Blog Page and provides updates when our site adds new content. With social media, all you see is the favorite stuff that people share. With an RSS feed, you see everything a website publishes.

We begin filming in October, so it is imperative that you are off book before we record. Our film schedule will be tight and quick, so do everything in your power. We recommend you get in contact with your scene partners (see SKM Contact Sheet in previous blog post) on days when we have no scheduled rehearsal and use that time to your advantage. 

Run Lines is also a great resource for those of you who learn aurally--it's a free app and should be compatible with most devices.

Most rehearsals will fall on Tuesday, Friday, or Sunday evenings from 4:00 to 8:30 PM unless stated otherwise. Please familiarize yourself with this schedule. Cal, your AD/SM will also send out a weekly email which will include schedule and what needs to be prepared for the week. Emails will be accompanied by a blog post with the same information.
Rehearsals are separated by room (Zoom will typically be Melissa, Zoom Room 1 will be a breakout room with Cal). Below is a link to accessing rehearsals, which will also be included in further emails for rehearsal.
