CenterStage’s Tapestry Theatre is an all-abilities theater company that embraces the diversity of area actors, offering all an opportunity to shine as performers. Tapestry casts actors with special needs in lead roles, and peer actors as understudies to create a shared theatrical performance. Actors enjoy the magic of theater in a fun, welcoming, safe, and inclusive community. Our participants discover talents they never knew they had, make connections with people who have differing interests and abilities, and form long-lasting friendships. By challenging societal perceptions and showcasing everyone’s strengths, we continue to embrace our philosophy of “Applauding All Abilities.”
Tapestry Theatre Summer Youth Group produced You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, in its 2012 inaugural year, Annie Jr. in 2013, Bye Bye Birdie in 2014, Seussical in 2015, Honk in 2016, How to Eat Like a Child in 2017, and Oklahoma in 2018. The All-Ages group has produced It's a Wonderful Life in 2015, Fiddler on the Roof and Elf Jr. in 2017, Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR in 2019 and coming in March 2022 - Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella! The Hometown Weekly and Boulder Daily Camera have spotlighted Tapestry Theatre illuminating the excitement and importance of this wonderful group. We have grown in the numbers of actors participating every year and NOW it is time for us to grow again and offer year-round programming.

*Initial gathering will be Sunday, May 19th from 3-7, 2nd Rehearsal: Tuesday, May 21st
*Rehearsals will be on T/Th from 4:30-6:30

Show Description:
The enchanting modern classic from Disney is ready for our CenterStage/Tapestry Theatre Company Superstars!! Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production. A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!

Join us in the evolution of Tapestry Theatre into a yearlong program, weaving theatre into the lives of individuals with special needs! We cannot do it without you! To make Tapestry a yearlong program. To date, the Tapestry Theatre summer show has been largely a volunteer based effort. As we move into a constant yearlong program, the volunteer only model limits our ability to grow the Tapestry vision and program.

Summer Musical – Each summer Tapestry Theatre puts on a large musical production. We cast up to 40 youth and young adult actors comprised of 20 lead actors and 20 mentor/understudies.
Winter All Ages Show - In 2015, Tapestry Theatre introduced it's first annual Winter Holiday Show featuring Tapestry's adult veterans from previous shows. That year Tapestry performed It's a Wonderful Life Radio Show. Since then they've performed Fiddler on the Roof Jr., Elf Jr. and Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. And coming in March 2022, Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella.
