Jeanie Balch Jeanie is a founding director of CenterStage and a lifelong fan of the music of Queen. She is thrilled to be combining two passions by working on this musical with CenterStage youth! She started the CenterStage middle school theatre program with a production of John Lennon and Me, and has also directed Anne of Green Gables and Narnia with this age group. Other favorite directing credits include Jesus Christ Superstar, Avenue Q, Godspell, and most recently an immersive and travelling production of Our Town, where she had the pleasure of meeting Caleb Sharp.
Jessica Dorcey Jessica is so excited to be returning to Center Stage Theatre Company!! You may remember her from playing Marcy Park in CSTC's production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" many years ago. Jessica originally hails from Colorado, but has spent the last 8 years living and working in New York City. She's performed in venues across the country, and recently walked the red carpet in Cannes, France where her short film was selected to be included in the Short Film Corner as part of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. She has been blessed to work with Tony and Emmy Award winners and is so excited to share everything she's learned!
Jordan Griffiths Jordan Griffiths was born and raised in Milford, NY which is where her passion for theatre began at a very young age. From there she traveled across the state for her associate's degree in musical theatre, to Vermont for her bachelor's degree in acting and directing, and then made her way to Colorado to work as the acting teacher for an after school children's theatre conservatory. She is incredibly excited to dive into class with CenterStage and share her passion via zoom, in person, or any which way this crazy world goes!
Cammie Kolber Cammie began performing with CSTC in 2000, and has been involved ever since! She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Music Education (vocal) and currently teaches K-5 general music at Village East Elementary School. She began directing summer camps for CSTC in 2012 after being involved as a counselor, stage manager, and music director for camps and other CSTC productions in years prior. In 2013, Cammie toured with Up with People, where she performed throughout the US, Mexico, and Europe. Since her return she has performed in many theater productions in the area, continued her work directing CSTC summer camps, and music directed many of the Tapestry Theatre musicals.
McKayla Marso-Mcdonough BDT Stage choreographer/performer, McKayla McDonough, is thrilled to be hosting a workshop for CenterStage! After touring with the Broadway National Tours of The Wizard of Oz, Monty Python's Spamalot and performing with Norwegian Cruise Lines, McKayla draws inspiration for her work from many teachers and fellow artists around the world! For the last 10 years, she has worked professionally in regional theatres across the country and eventually planted roots in Colorado where she is a proud company member of BDT Stage in Boulder.
Gavin King Originally from Kansas City, MO, Gavin King has been traveling the country performing in and choreographing shows for various theatres, colleges, and camps for several years now. His passion of theatre and dance recently has led him to the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts where he studied until he transferred to Millikin University where he currently studies Musical Theater while minoring in Dance. He is elated to be able to join CenterStage Theatre Company in providing young artists online theatrical magic and creating a place for endless imagination and creativity.
Rachel Greenberg Matz Rachel Greenberg Matz!! Rachel has been involved in the entertainment industry for 30+ years. Rachel worked at SAG talent agencies in Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Rachel was also a successful voice-over artist for 15 years, and has been helping manage children's entertainment careers in the Denver and national markets for the past 10 years. Rachel is excited to use her experience and knowledge to help you find and follow your path to success.
Cal Meakins Cal Meakins is a Front Range student currently pursuing an Associates in the Arts. An aspiring playwright, Cal frequents the Longmont Theatre Company as an actor and volunteer. Last summer, he worked at the Arvada Center as a member of the Diversity in the Arts internship inaugural cohort. He spent last season at the Arvada Center as an Electrician and as House Manager for children's theatre.
Cameron Scully Cameron Scully is an actor and director from Flagstaff, Arizona. He received his degree in Theatre from Castleton University in Castleton, Vermont. Cameron has been a part of 20+ productions in Vermont and Arizona. He is thrilled to be working with CenterStage Theater Company and sharing with young minds the incredible expressive opportunities that come from participating in the performing arts.
Melissa Williams - Program Coordinator / Director / Instructor An active performer and teacher in Colorado, Melissa is at home in front of the footlights as an actor or working backstage as a director, stage manager and designer. She teaches a busy private vocal studio - South Boulder Vocal Studio and was last seen on stage as Margaret White in Carrie the Musical with Longmont Theatre Company. Melissa directed CSTC mainstage productions of Avenue Q, Into the Woods & the regional premiere of A Little Princess and many other camps and CSTC productions. Melissa believes in the power of the performing arts in developing people's confidence, creativity and sense of community.
