CenterStage Theatre Company will be holding auditions for the musical Little Shop of Horrors with book, music and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. This production will be directed by Steve Wilson. This is a teen/young adult production for actors grades 7-12. Parents to note some PG 13 content.
Rehearsals March - May 2024, and performances in May 2024. While there is no fee to audition, there is a tuition fee for all actors cast in the production.

If you have auditioned for us before, feel free to click on the links below. One is to sign up for your preliminary audition (for a live audition) and the other to a required Google Form for everyone which will include your information, resume and video submission (if applicable). Feb. 29 from 6-9pm (by appointment only; actors seen in 5-minute slots) AND then click on the link to fill out the required google form. Make sure to check the rehearsal calendar posted below to ensure your availability for rehearsals and performances. AUDITION PREPARATIONPrepare: One Minute Monologue and 16-32 bars of musical theatre song in style of show. No piano accompanist - please bring your own backing track only (no vocal/singalong lyrics) on a device we can connect to a speaker.
1. We are also asking that everyone introduce themselves stating their full name and the name of the monologue/song to be performed. This should be very brief. 2. A one-minute monologue of your choice. 3. 16-32 bars of a song (preferably from musical theatre in style of show). You may sing a number from the show, but that is not required. We are asking that auditions be no more than 2 minutes. |

Sunday, March 3, 4-8pm. (Possible double-casting for select roles) IF needed, we will have Callback 2 on Tuesday, March 5, 6:30pm-9pm held at CenterStage. Actors who would like to be considered, but who cannot attend the callback, are encouraged to submit and let us know that you cannot make the callback. A deviously delicious and darkly comic Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre-goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
