ONLINE Summer Camps
The Show Must Go… ONLINE! By BBB Press
CenterStage Theater Company knows how important performing is to our campers, and that’s why we have chosen and personalized this camp into an interactive, enriching ONLINE experience for your child. This global pandemic has forced us all to think outside of the box… We know that this will be a very different experience than our in person camps, but we are excited to offer a new way for your child to stay engaged in performing and create connections with other performers (virtually of course).

Frequently Asked Questions:
What does online camp even look like?!
We will be using Zoom as a platform for this year’s online camps. We will have some movement and theatre games too!
MORNINGS: All actors meet each morning ONLINE from 9:00 - 12 NOON
LUNCH: OFFLINE - eat & refuel
AFTERNOONS: Small group instruction from 1-2 PM (Not everyone will be called for the AFTERNOON section each day)
A detailed schedule of each week will be sent out after role assignments
But what about the props and costumes?!
Your child will get a SHOW PACKAGE with their needed camp materials (script, costumes, props, etc). More information will be coming after you confirm your excitement to join us online!
How will we show off what we’ve learned?!
We will have a Zoom digital performance on July 17th (time TBA). Your families can join us from far and wide.
What will my camper need to participate?!
A space in the house where they can participate in camp. They will need enough space so they can comfortably dance during dance rehearsals, and where they have a strong internet connection.
Please note - camp is a NOISY business! Between all the theater games, singing, and rehearsing there might be quite a bit of noise.
An ipad or computer for ZOOM rehearsals.
Excitement, an open mind and lots of great energy! This is new for all of us; we will navigate this together.
General schedule:
9:00-9:45am- Getting people into the Zoom room, chatting, lightly structured games, go over schedule for the day
9:45-10:30 Session 1 (Whole group or break out)
10:30-11:00am Games
11:00-11:45am Session 2 (Whole group or break out)
11:45-12:00pm Wrap up/reminder for solo groups
12-1pm Lunch
1-2pm Small groups as needed (filming, extra work, etc)
We strongly believe that the interaction with director and campers combined with the inclusion of our youth counselors, and a personally developed and delivered show package will still make for an engaging virtual summer camp and robust end product that will showcase all the fun and hard work!

During our summer camps, we will audition the campers, cast them in roles, and learn the dialogue, blocking, music and choreography. We’ll also break up the day with plenty of fun, crafts, and theatre games. On the last Friday of camp, we will present our show with two performances.
CenterStage Theatre Company recognizes each child’s unique talent and gives him or her the necessary building blocks to grow as a performer. Every child gets a “moment in the spotlight.” Whatever their prior experience, young actors will develop/fine-tune their musical theatre skills. The entire session promises to be engaging, challenging, and inspiring.
