In 2022, Jordan became involved with CenterStage when her daughter Cora participated in her first ever theatrical summer camp. Since that time, Jordan and Cora have been part of the CenterStage family with Cora having performed in numerous productions. Recently her son, Colin, has also participated in Tapestry Theatre's programming. As a performer herself, Jordan has seen firsthand the positive impact these organizations have had on her own children not just as emerging artists, but as humans as well.
In the course of her career, Jordan has instructed children and young adults in a variety of dance techniques. As a long time member and current Associate Artistic Director of the Chicago-based theater company Jump Rhythm®, Jordan has performed and taught residencies all over the world including Italy, France, Finland and Spain. In 2007, Jordan earned an Emmy® Award for her performance in the acclaimed documentary Jump Rhythm Jazz Project: Getting There, which aired on PBS. Jordan continues to tour with Jump Rhythm® performing around the country and abroad.
In addition to her artistic endeavors, Jordan is a Paraprofessional for Adams 12 Five Star Schools where she finds fulfillment working with children of all abilities. Jordan also volunteers on the Parent Teacher Organization and aspires to contribute to the vision of CenterStage as a board member.
