About the role

The Sound Board Operator brings the show's sound design to life each night, running cues and mixing about 20 wireless mics for Annie Jr., our winter musical for performers ages 8–14 in the Black Box Theatre.

This is a great fit for someone with live sound experience who stays calm under pressure and enjoys being part of a production team.

What you'll do

  • Program and run all sound and music cues from the stage manager's calls.
  • Mix wireless body mics and handheld mics for principals and ensemble.
  • Check, charge and maintain mic packs and batteries before each performance.
  • Help actors with mic placement and troubleshoot issues during the run.

What you'll bring

  • Experience running a digital mixing console for theatre, concerts or events.
  • Comfort mixing multiple wireless mics in real time.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented and calm when things go sideways.
  • Ability to pass a background check, required for all staff working with youth.

Schedule & key dates

Paper tech: February 3, 2027
Tech week: February 5–11, evenings and weekend days
Performances: February 12–21, Fridays through Sundays
