Summer Theatre Camps 2027

Help campers ages 6–12 sing, dance and act their way to an end-of-week showcase.

About the role

Every summer, hundreds of kids spend their week at CenterStage rehearsing a mini-musical and performing it for their families on Friday. Counselors work alongside our camp directors to lead games, help with rehearsals and keep every camper safe, included and having fun.

This is a great fit for high school seniors, college students or educators who love kids and theatre.

What you'll do

Support camp directors in leading rehearsals, games and activities.
Help campers learn songs, choreography and lines.
Supervise campers during breaks, lunch and transitions.
Help with simple props, costumes and set pieces for the showcase.
Help run the Friday showcase for families.

What you'll bring

Experience working with kids, such as camps, teaching or babysitting.
Theatre, music or dance experience is a plus.
Energy, patience and a sense of humor.
Must be 17 or older by June 1, 2027.
Ability to pass a background check, required for all staff working with youth.

Schedule & key dates

Staff training: June 3–4, 2027
Camp weeks: June 7 – August 6, 2027, Monday through Friday
Showcases: Every Friday at 2:30 pm
