Broadway veteran actor/writer/musician Jason "SweetTooth" Williams is coming to Colorado as an Artist-in-Residence for CenterStage Theatre Company May 22 and 23, 2026.


Intro to Stage Combat (Grades 2-5)
An exciting and imaginative introduction to stage combat for young performers! In this class, students will learn how to safely execute a choreographed fight using a variety of simulated moves. Through guided exercises and group choreography, we’ll explore how to use our bodies to tell a story while emphasizing safety, respect for personal space, and control. This fun, supportive environment encourages creativity, teamwork, and confidence as students bring action-packed moments to life on stage.|


Stage Combat Studio (Grades 6-12)
A dynamic and focused stage combat class for teen performers ready to build skill and confidence. Students will learn how to safely execute and collaboratively choreograph a fight sequence using a range of simulated techniques. The class emphasizes strong storytelling through physicality, with a deep focus on safety, spatial awareness, respect for scene partners, and control. Perfect for actors looking to expand their physical performance skills while working in a disciplined, supportive, and creatively engaging environment.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Jason SweetTooth Williams is theater/tv/film actor, a writer, a musician and a father. He was seen on Broadway as Mr. Heere in Be More Chill, and originated roles regionally and Off Broadway in Disney's Freaky Friday (La Jolla Playhouse), Benny and Joon (The Old Globe), Bloodsong of Love (Ars Nova), The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S Thompson Musical (La Jolla Playhouse), Gun & Powder (Papermill Playhouse), The Black Suits (SPF- The Public Theater), The Witness Room (Off-Broadway) and others.

Jason also played opposite Jackie Hoffman as Prince Dauntless in Transport Group's revival of Once Upon a Mattress, and was seen as a Melrose Brother in Jelly's Last Jam for Long Wharf Theatre. Jason is an original member of the award-winning theater collective known as Iconis and Family and can be heard on Joe Iconis' albums "THINGS TO RUIN", "The Joe Iconis Rock n Roll Jamboree" and the 44 track opus "ALBUM".

As a screen actor, Jason appeared opposite Jared Leto in WeCrashed for AppleTv+ and was seen on episodes of Only Murders in the Building, BULL, FBI, Marvelous Mrs Masiel, American Horror Stories, Law and Order and the feature film Notice to Quit.

No audition is required to register for this program.

All participants are cast after the program begins, with auditions held during the first few days.

This process allows students to get comfortable, build confidence, and work with our instructors before roles are assigned.

Auditions help our creative team place students in roles that best support both individual growth and the overall production.

There is no fee to audition. Tuition is required only for students who are cast. Please review the audition details below for specific instructions and deadlines.

Here’s a simple overview of how auditions work. Our process is designed to be supportive, low-stress, and a positive experience for every performer.
  1. Check your availability for rehearsals and performances.
  2. Submit the Audition Form.
  3. Audition in-person or submit a video.
  4. Attend callbacks.

Actors auditioning in person will meet with our creative team and present their prepared materials.

This is a welcoming, supportive environment designed to help performers do their best work.

Some actors will be invited to attend an in-person callback.
If you would like to be considered but are unable to attend the callback, please let us know when you submit your Audition Form.
