Kyle Lawrence is a Denver based theatre artist and educator, and is thrilled to be going into his third year as an educator with CenterStage. He began teaching theatre 8 years ago with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, with much of his work focusing on early & upper elementary education, Shakespeare & classical acting, modern drama, and musical theatre. A firm practitioner of student-centred curriculum, his primary focus is to meet students where they are at, and challenge them to grow both creatively and socially. On stage, Kyle performs with various regional theatres here in Colorado, including the Colorado Shakespeare Festival and the Denver Children's Theatre. This fall, Kyle will be teaching and acting for CSF Education's Violence Prevention and Outreach tour, bringing workshops and abridged performances of a few of Shakespeares' plays to schools throughout BVSD. He is beyond excited to be bringing some familiar magical stories back to CenterStage this summer, as well as some new material concerning Hobbits.
