Few musicals are as beloved as The Sound of Music. The final collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein, it gave us some of the most famous songs ever written for the stage, from "Do-Re-Mi" and "My Favorite Things" to "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," and went on to win five Tony Awards and inspire an Oscar-winning film.

Based on the true story of the von Trapp family, it follows Maria, a free-spirited young woman who leaves an Austrian abbey to become governess to a widowed captain's seven children. What begins as a houseful of strict rules slowly fills with music and warmth. But as the shadow of World War II spreads across Austria, the von Trapps face a choice that will test everything they hold dear.

Funny, heartfelt, and full of songs you will be humming all the way home, The Sound of Music is a timeless story of family, courage, and hope. It is a show the whole community will treasure.
